The besotted bookworm

 Well, I am completely and utterly besotted by books. (I also quite like a bit of alliteration too!)  I am a forty something, former teacher, now a home educator living in Surrey, England.  I intend to use this space to document my reading, my thoughts about the books I read and hopefully share ideas with like-minded bookworms.  It's weird but not everyone wants to discuss books with me?!   I like to read mostly historical fiction, especially something with a gothic feel to it.  Some of my favourite authors at the moment are Kate Mosse, Stacey Halls, Laura Purcell, Yaa Gyasi and Tracey Chevalier.  I'm afraid I mostly enjoy stories with female central characters, I probably feel I can relate to them better, though this is something I should probably work on.    I would love to be able to write a book though I'm not sure I'm a good storyteller.  What I do enjoy doing though is discussing books and sharing thoughts with others about the reading experience.  I could do this
